SharePoint 2010 Search only returns results for admins

Had a problem where only an admin would see results when running a search. All other users received, "We did not find any results for..." The problem was in the User Profile Service app.  To fix go to Manage Service Applications.  Select User Profile Service App then click the "Administrators" button.

Make sure that the search account has the permission to "Retrieve People Data for Search Crawlers".
